Wilfred, born in New Orleans, was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Clare Rosenmeier; sister, Jocelyn Duet; and his loving wife of 68 years, Rose Rosenmeier. He is survived by his daughter, Debra Holleman (Michael); his sons, Robert Rosenmeier and Manuel Martinez; grandchildren, Amber Kelly (Lacy), LaCuesta, Joshua LaCuesta (Penny); great-grandchildren, Adalyn Kelly and Cora Jane LaCuesta, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Wilfred attended Jesuit high School and lettered on the state champion track team. He was a member of the Blue Jay Marching band. He attended Loyola University. For over 40 years, he worked at George H. Lehleitner as Secretary Treasurer. He was a member of the National Association of Credit and Finance, where he served on the Board of Directors as president. Wilfred also served in the National Guard.
Wilfred was a longtime parishioner of St. Dominic’s Parish where he raised his family in faith and served as an usher for many years.
Wilfred was an avid bowler and loved working out at the gym.
He gave to many charities. Wilfred will be missed by many friends and relatives.

You are invited to attend a visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd New Orleans, LA 70124 on Saturday, March 9th from noon until the 2:00PM Mass of Christian Burial in the Chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donation to be made to St. Jude, or your favorite charity.
