Rosemary Huffman Cottle, 95 of Temple went to be with our Lord on March 1, 2024, in Llano, Texas.
Rosemary had been living in Llano the past 5 months and passed peacefully, surrounded by her family.
Rosemary was born on October 19th, 1928, in Temple. She is pre-deceased by her parents and her only brother John Huffman, also of Temple.
After graduating from Temple High School, she met the love of her life Marcine “Coach” Cottle. They were married May 10, 1947, at the Avenue G Church of Christ. Rosemary was married to her sweetheart for 76 glorious years before he passed away in 2023.
College and coaching took them to Denison, Texas where their only daughter Marcia was born.
The couple moved back to Temple in 1953 where they became proud parents of two sons: Kelly and Brian.
Rosemary worked at Sears in the 1960’s and then as a Library Assistant at both Travis and Bonham Middle Schools. There she was able to affect and inspire many lives with her caring nature and gentle manner. Rosemary loved travel, sports, and shopping.
She was a member of Western Hills Church of Christ for more than 7 decades and will be remembered as an exemplary human being, friend and mother who loved God. She embodied the best of qualities: unconditional love, strength of character and an unending generosity towards everyone she encountered. Her cheerful, positive attitude was genuinely contagious. It was impossible to be cross in her presence.
