Mohammad T. Manavi, of Yukon, Oklahoma passed away on March 5, 2024. His family and friends are profoundly saddened by this loss. Born in Urmia, Iran on August 7, 1941 to loving parents, Shakoor and Dokhtar, he embarked on a journey filled with love, dedication and unwavering kindness. From his early years at Ferdowsi School to his 30 years of service at Yukon National Bank, he attracted a strong circle of friends, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he touched.
Mohammad came to the U.S. in 1977 to study finance. He graduated from Oklahoma City University with a master’s degree in 1986. He remained in the U.S. becoming a citizen in 2004. Mohammad’s dedication to knowledge and service continued to shine.
Mohammad met his life partner, Mary Moore in 1992. Together they shared over 30 years of commitment to one another. They loved to travel and spend time together. Mohammad was an avid gardener. Roses were his favorite flower. You could find them lined around his home. He delighted in planting his huge garden every year He spent hours canning his special pickles, sharing with his friends and co-workers
Mohammad will be remembered by his warm smile, the kindness in his heart and his love of food and gathering of friends. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will forever guide and inspire us.
