Miriam S Chillura, age 84, passed from life on March 3, 2024, but her spirit is and always will be in the present. Although she has been here 84 years and we are grateful for that, it is the quality of the years that matter more than the length of her presence.
Her legacy is one of perfection as a mother and her unconditional love as a grandmother and great-grandmother.
Miriam was married to her loving husband, Phillip (Sonny) Chillura. Together, they raised 2 sons; Phillip Jr. (Mercy) and Michael (Peggy), and grandchildren; Michael Jr., Eric (Desiree), Katie, and Chris. Great-grandchildren; Ava, Mac, Giuliana, and Levi.
She is predeceased in death by her sister, Anolan Alcala and brother, Carlos Suarez and survived by her sister, Xiomara Derosiers.
On this day, her loving family and friends will celebrate her life and peacefully send her off into the sunset, a choir of angels to join her loving husband and enter phase two of a wonderful everlasting life, where goodness and mercy prevail.
A Funeral Service to honor Miriam will take place at 11am on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Blount & Curry Carrollwood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior starting at 10am. Following the service Miriam will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Sonny at Florida National Cemetery with an interment service at 1pm.
