Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Juell Solaegui, granddaughter Diana Solaegui and siblings Marie Hildebrandt, Anne Misasi, Antoinette Pezzi, and John Carvalho.
She is survived and beloved by her sons: John Dennis, Michael Harold (Kim Villegan), Juell Raymond (Nancy Schwartz), Lawrence Joseph (Juli). Her adult grandchildren Tara Solaegui, Brie Solaegui, Juell Chase Solaegui, and Nicholas Juell Solaegui feel grateful to have been part of her long, productive life. Her four great grandchildren, Mariella, Margot, Xavier, and Claire will grow to appreciate her from family recollections of her strength, humor, and independence.
She was an athlete, artist, and artisan. She was President of the P.T.A, Haute Couture Fashion Club, and the Stockton Garden Club. Lucille was also a Master Food Preserver with San Joaquin County. She also Judged homemade items at Fairs including the State Fair, and County fairs for San Juaquin, Fresno and others, Judging sewing, dolls, and preserves. Her skills also included the following: Wedding Cakes, baking pies, handmade Christmas cards, Calligraphy, Flower decorating, tennis, playing piano, sewing, painting, drawing, gardening, making her famous fudge Easter eggs and more. She performed all of these activities while remaining active in all aspects of her children’s lives.
As a devout Catholic, her belief put her in the hands of God and gave her peace before she passed. She will be missed by those that loved her and those who knew her.
In memoriam of Lucille, a service will be held at St. Luke’s Church, 3847 N. Sutter St., Stockton, CA on Thursday, March 14th at 10am. Her internment alongside her husband Juell will immediately follow at the San Joaquin Catholic Cemetary, 719 E. Harding Way, Stockton, CA.
